WHAT IS A DEATH DOULA? someone who assists in the dying process, similar to that of a midwife or doula does with the birthing process. I assist families in coping with death through recognizing it as a natural and important part of life. Let's get comfortable with an uncomfortable topic, death..-Leslee
At Our Aging Services, we specialize in accessing support services for seniors and adults with disabilities. With years of experience in the senior living industry, our Founder, Leslee supported her residents and their family through the journey of aging & death. We understand the difficulties of aging and are committed to helping seniors live their best life. We support our clients as they navigate the challenges and reality of aging by providing a safe space to discuss dying--such as what their last wishes may be, planning their funeral services, or providing resources and support for families.
Death anxiety is common. Most people are afraid of discussing the dying process and are often in denial. After much research, I found the Death Positive Movement and decided to incorporate it into my services. As a certified Death Doula, Leslee provides clients with a safe space and the opportunity to have meaningful, positive conversations about death and the dying process.
